Seth W. Meskin, M.D.
Dr. Meskin joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. after completing a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the country's oldest and most renowned eye hospitals. Dr. Meskin's areas of interest include laser refractive surgery, cataract surgery, the medical and surgical management of corneal transplants, as well as infectious, immunologic, and traumatic disorders affecting the cornea and surrounding structures of the eye. Dr. Meskin was one of the pioneering surgeons in Connecticut to offer DSAEK (Descemet's Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty)and DALK (Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty) which are new forms of less invasive corneal transplantation.
Dr. Meskin performs complex microsurgical ocular reconstructions such as sutured intraocular lenses and iris prosthetic devices. He is among a small group of surgeons in the United States involved in the FDA clinical trial of the Ophtec Model 311 Artifical Iris Lens Implant.
After graduating summa cum laude from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Meskin went on to earn his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his medical internship in New York City, and was selected for the ophthalmology residency program at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. While there, he was chosen and served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Meskin is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science, Yale University School of Medicine. Ophthalmology residents from Yale spend time with Dr. Meskin as part of their cornea rotation, learning about the medical and surgical treatment of patients with corneal diseases. Dr. Meskin is also on staff at Milford Hospital, CT Eye Surgical Center in Milford, and Hospital of Saint Raphael. He has authored numerous scholarly journal and textbook publications and has presented original research at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's and American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery’s national meetings.
Dr. Meskin is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society, and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians.

Thera A. Bowen, O.D.
Dr. Bowen joined the practice of Eye Physicians
and Surgeons, PC in 1995. Dr.Bowen's areas of
interest and specialty include contact lens fittings
for myopia and hyperopia. In addition she also
specializes in difficult to fit patients. These
include keratoconus fittings, post-surgical
fittings, pediatric aphakic fittings, as well as
bifocal and presbyopic fittings. Dr. Bowen also
provides general eye care for adults and adolescents
and is pleased to accept new patients to the
practice.
Dr. Bowen is a cum laude graduate of Manhattanville
College with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She received
her post graduate degree from the State University
of New York, College of Optometry. In the community,
Dr. Bowen has performed vision screenings for
Prevent Blindness Connecticut. She has visited the
Orange and Milford Senior centers providing
education on eyecare as well as screenings for
seniors.

Shannon Zollinger, O.D.
Dr. Shannon Zollinger joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons after completing a specialized two year fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lenses at The Ohio State University. She simultaneously obtained her Master’s Degree in Vision Science. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was then accepted into The Ohio State University’s College of Optometry and received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2009.
Dr. Zollinger is residency trained in specialty contact lens fits, including Astigmatism, Post surgical, Keratoconus, Orthokeratology, Scleral and Multifocal contact lenses. In addition to specialty contact lens fitting, Dr. Zollinger will be providing general optometric care and low vision exams.
