Dr. Meskin joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. in July 2005 after completing a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary which is one of the country's oldest and most renowned eye hospital.
Dr. Meskin's areas of interest include laser refractive surgery, the medical and surgical management of corneal trasplants, as well as infectious, immunologic, and traumatic disorders affecting the cornea and surrounding structures of the eye.
Dr. Meskin was the first physician in Connecticut to perform DSEK (Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty), which is a new form of less invasive corneal transplantation. After graduating summa cum laude from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania in 1996, Dr. Meskin went on to earn his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 2000. He completed his medical internship in New York City and was selected for the ophthalmology residency program at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. While there, he was chosen and served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology from 2003 - 2004.
Dr. Meskin is on staff at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, Milford Hospital, St. Raphaels Hospital and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He has authored numerous scholarly journal and textbook publications and has presented original research at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's national meetings.
Dr. Meskin is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, and the New York State Academy of Ophthalmology.
